Jane has many years experience with well known retail Brands, working at Board level and playing a significant role in developing people strategies to support business transformation through periods of growth and change. This has included:

  • Business turnaround situations with total organisational review and the rationalisation and realignment of structures and resources to support a successful return to profitability.
  • The design and implementation of all people processes and practices to support the growth and ‘modernisation’ of a successful Brand which had lacked investment for a number of years.
  • Significant infrastructure projects including the move of a Head Office function, and the relocation of a Distribution Centre and Contact Centre – all completed on time, on budget and with no loss of personnel.
  • Developing an HR function with external partnerships to support significant business growth and development – including driving significant investment in People Development and Talent Management

 

Successful Consultancy As An Experienced HR Professional

In addition to in-house Board level roles, Jane spent 2 years building a successful Consultancy business delivering support, advice and coaching to a variety of different businesses and sectors. This included:

  • The design of a totally new organisational structure for the set up of Sainsbury’s TU clothing business in Coventry – working with the operational management to build the resource and capability for this venture. This included a recruitment plan and liaison with all parties as well as the management of a TUPE transfer from previously partners into in house functions.
  • Interim cover for an HRD on maternity leave
  • Facilitation of senior team strategy development events incorporating team building and alignment
  • Delivery of Coaching/Career counselling support to a number of individuals experiencing organisational and personal change
