I have 20 years experience working as an HR professional at Board level across a variety of businesses including privately owned and family run retail brands. The breadth of my experience enables me to gain a quick understanding of the issues facing an organisation and offer practical, cost effective solutions.

I have supported business growth with ambitious store opening programmes as well as building expert Multi Channel teams to deliver significant digital growth. Throughout my experience, regular reviews of structures and capability have been conducted in a professional and effective way – sometimes needing to deliver significant cost savings. Learning and Development programmes to support Talent Management and Succession Planning are invaluable and I have been instrumental in the design and implementation of award winning programmes, including Investors in People accreditation in 2 of the brands I have worked with.

My consultancy skills have been put to good use in businesses where high level HR expertise is needed for a particular project or to support an existing team facing a particular challenge.

I have a flexible approach in accordance with the clients’ particular needs. This may be an agreed project term in days or weeks, a 6 month coaching or mentoring programme or ongoing retained support. The approach best suited to the clients’ needs will always include the agreement of a clear set of measurable objectives and regular review of progress
